RECOIL Tactical Studio Privacy Policy

Applies to RECOIL Tactical Studio public release 1.1.0 (technical MSIX package version 18.9.4.0).

RECOIL Tactical Studio is made by VEDSKA. This policy explains the app's local processing, license validation and purchase routes. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Settings and profiles on your PC

The app saves settings such as your entered player name and alternative names, sensitivity, display preferences, selected loadouts, tuning values, favorites, shortcuts, language, HUD preferences and custom profiles on your PC. Zoom and Sound Access preferences are also saved locally. Custom profiles can include names, game and weapon labels, a configured application executable and notes that you enter. Import and export use files you choose. Exported files contain the profile data and can be shared by you.

Local screen recognition and Zoom

When the operator session uses automatic recognition, the app captures and examines relevant regions of the supported game window locally. It uses local image matching and text recognition to identify operator menus, your entered scoreboard name, HUD state and active weapon slot. Captured screen regions and recognized screen text are not sent to KeyAuth for licensing. Detector status, errors and current profile information can be written to local temporary or diagnostic files. If you explicitly learn an operator icon, small icon samples are saved locally for later matching.

Zoom captures the supported foreground game window and enlarges part of its image locally. The app does not upload these screen frames or save a video recording through Zoom. Start and stop controls let you choose when the tools run.

Keyboard and mouse controls

The app observes configured keyboard shortcuts, mouse-button state, operator-menu clicks and foreground-application context to operate its controls. When you enable a session and correction, configured mouse movements are generated while the required buttons are held in the permitted foreground application. Supported held-click macros can also generate click input. Custom Profiles are limited to the exact application executable you configure. This input processing is local; the app does not send a record of your keystrokes or mouse actions to the license service.

Sound Access

Sound Access uses local Windows loopback capture of the selected speaker or headphone output. It does not use the microphone. The selected output can include all sound played through that device, including game audio, music and voice chat. Audio is analyzed locally to estimate left and right levels for the visual cue. This feature does not save audio recordings or transmit the captured audio to VEDSKA or the license service. Stop Sound Access to end this capture. Local diagnostic files can contain tool state, level values and errors, but not recorded audio.

Website-key activation and KeyAuth

The Free edition does not require a website license key. If you activate or restore a website key, RECOIL contacts the KeyAuth license service over HTTPS. License validation sends the key, the Windows device identifier known as MachineGuid, the application identifiers and version, and a validation session identifier. As part of the connection, the service also receives the IP address used to connect. These are used to validate license status, duration and device restrictions. The app receives the validation result and license expiration information.

A saved website key is encrypted locally using Windows protection for the current Windows user. The app can revalidate it when Premium access is checked. Local encryption does not remove the need for server-side validation. Screen captures, output audio and your saved gameplay settings are not included in these KeyAuth license requests.

Microsoft Store purchases and licensing

In the Microsoft Store edition, RECOIL uses Microsoft's Store services to query available Premium products, start a checkout you select, restore ownership and check the active Premium license. The app receives product display information, such as localized prices and trial terms, and entitlement information, such as active status and expiration. Microsoft handles the Microsoft account, payment authorization, subscription trial eligibility, renewal and cancellation under its own terms and privacy practices.

RECOIL does not collect your card number, security code, bank login or Microsoft account password. The app does not receive these payment credentials through its Store billing integration. Microsoft also handles Store distribution and app updates. Opening subscription management takes you to Microsoft's account-management service.

Website checkout and other external services

Website license keys are sold by VEDSKA through the RECOIL SellAuth storefront at https://vedska.mysellauth.com, with payment processed through PayPal. SellAuth and PayPal process purchase and payment information according to their respective terms and privacy policies. VEDSKA can access order and delivery information needed to fulfill purchases and provide support. Website purchases are separate from Microsoft Store billing. The RECOIL app does not collect your card details or PayPal password.

The app can open optional website, Discord, TikTok, Linktree and email-support links in your browser or email application. Those external services have their own privacy practices. KeyAuth and Microsoft likewise operate their services under their own policies. This app policy describes RECOIL's processing and does not replace the providers' policies.

Diagnostics and support

The app keeps local status and error information for operation and troubleshooting. The Copy troubleshooting details control copies a limited summary to your clipboard, including app version, edition, display and aspect-ratio state, active weapon and tool status. It is designed to exclude your player name, license key and device identifier. Copying does not automatically send the summary to VEDSKA. Review any diagnostic file, screenshot or copied details before choosing to share them.

If you contact support, VEDSKA receives the email address and correspondence you provide, along with any order, license or troubleshooting information you choose to include. This information is used to answer your request and handle the related purchase or license issue.

Storage, removal and requests

Local preferences, profiles, learned icon samples, saved licenses, exports and diagnostics remain on your PC until they are removed or replaced. You can stop sessions and tools, change saved settings, delete custom profiles in the app and remove local files using Windows. Contact support for help locating local data or for requests concerning information you provided to VEDSKA. Requests concerning your Microsoft account, Store subscription or an external payment provider can also be directed to that provider.

Support or service providers may retain relevant license-security, transaction, dispute or required records. This policy does not set a retention period for third-party services or promise deletion of records those services must retain. Local app files and exported copies are separate from service-side license and transaction records.

Security and policy changes

RECOIL uses HTTPS for its KeyAuth requests and Windows user-level encryption for the saved website key. No software or local storage method can guarantee complete security. Updated privacy information will reflect changes to the app's data practices and will be provided through the application's Store listing or linked privacy page.
